Cooperation in future-oriented education and work programs, modular housing systems and
diverse robotics solutions signalled
Prof. Dr. Abid Thyab Al Ajeeli Jazaa, Head of the Arab Council for Strategy, Economics and Development Studies and member of the Arab Collaboration Council for Investment, visited ASAŞ, the developer of the technology campus and residential quarter “Rasselstein Quartier” in Neuwied, Germany, on July 17, 2025.

Together, they explored opportunities for cooperation and synergy effects in order to provide the younger generation with high-quality educational programs in future professions, innovative jobs and sustainably affordable housing across national borders.
Education is the foundation for a self-determined life
As a computer science professor and politician for higher education and scientific research, he believes that education is the foundation for a self-determined life: „No child can choose where they come from. But every young person should be able to decide for themselves where their life leads,“ explains Prof. Dr. Al Ajeeli Jazaa. “My aim is to give the younger generation the best possible education and career prospects without bias.”
Enabling the best possible education and career prospects
This prompted Prof. Dr. Al Ajeeli Jazaa to visit ASAŞ, the developer of the technology campus and residential quarter “Rasselstein Quartier” in Neuwied, Germany. Fred Haering, Business Development Director at ASAŞ, introduced him to the vision, the master plan and the current development phase.
Universities and colleges in the region are planning a wide range of solutions in the fields of digitalisation, artificial intelligence, simulation, cybersecurity and robotics on the Rasselstein site.
Prof. Dr. Al Ajeeli Jazaa also learned all about the Turkish family business ASAŞ, one of the leading aluminum manufacturers, its innovative product range and current research projects.
“Globally, we are facing a historic transformation that requires fundamental change,” says Fred Haering. “I am convinced that cross-border cooperation with well-educated students and scientists will accelerate the transformation – including here in Neuwied.”
Laying the foundation for work on the future
After a tour of the ASAŞ halls and the Rasselstein site, Prof. Dr. Al Ajeeli Jazaa signalled his interest in cooperating with ASAŞ and the Technology Campus. He sees synergy potential in the following fields:
- Future-oriented education, training and research programs in digitalisation, artificial intelligence, simulation, cybersecurity and robotics.
- Modular residential complex construction by ASAŞ for the great need for fast and affordable apartments and houses in Iraq.
- Innovative robotics solutions for intralogistics, agriculture and healthcare
“I am looking forward to working in partnership with ASAŞ and its cooperation partners at the Technology Campus and in the Rasselstein Quarter,” says Prof. Dr. Al Ajeeli Jazaa. “We will create a foundation for the young generations to work together on their own future.”
